Insurance on 172

Ive just brought a 2003 renault clio sport 172 and at present trying to look around for insurance and didnt know if anyone could point me in the right direction. im 21 with 1 years no claims.

shouldn't you have checked insurance costs before buying it?

I'm 21 with 2 years ncb and i pay £1100 fully comp with direct line

my mate:

21 with years ncb and pays £2000 fully comp with tesco but he has had on accident which ain't his fault.

Greenlight quoted me at 21 with 1 yrs NCD at 1300.
