I think you may be looking towards 1k imo

at 21 with 3 years no claims it would be about 800 for me

go on admiral or elephant and do an online quote, add 2 older females as 2nd drivers who have full no claims, legal and will save you about £200 :)

dont need to be family either,

actually change that

just checked

21, 3 yrs no claims, exhaust, lowered, alloys as mods

106 gti = 701 fully comp
172= 1020 fully comp
306 gti-6 = 790 full comp

Im renewing soon, so have been getting quotes. Ill be 23, 2 years NCB. 2000 172 = £650 with £200 excess

if you add 2nd drivers who r older females does mean it offects their insurance if i lose my no-claims or they do? also do they pay 2 be my additional drivers? i dont understand please explain?

  don't

doesnt effect them at all

they dont need to sign anything or do anything at all, hell they dont even need to know lol, well maybe they should

just try it

do a quote, then go back and add an older female as a 2nd driver, and the quote will come down,

if they have full no claims and are older and theres a chance they may use ur car sometimes theres less risk of a crash as they are counted as being a better driver than u

also if you change policies half way through the year coz u get a new car and the current insurers will not insure so you get insured with someone else go you have start that year again as a whole new year no claims or will it continue from the other one mate?

If you go through someone else, I think those few months will be lost, and you will have to start a new NCB year. I changed my policy half way through a year, and I lost a few months NCB.

When I got my 172cup I was 20 with 4yrs NCB(insurance company messed up), but I was paying £1600 a year with elephant. Cheapest I could find.

It comes down loads when you turn 21! Mine went to £600 with another insurance company - which is why I changed half way through the policy.

no no no, lol, your making it all alot harder than it is

ok as for changing companies, most companies wont charge much extra to change over the car, Ive done it 3 or 4 times all during one policy, however if u do change companies during a policy and cancel a policy then u will lose the no claims u had started to build up in that policy

as for 2nd drivers

ok, say u add sue brown to your policy, all elephant/admiral will ask for is her name age and job, and how long shes been driving and no claims, so 5+ years no claims youll put

thats it

so if sue brown has a crash on her own policy in her own car, you dont need to tell your insurance about it, shell still have her no claims at the time, but then when u renew ud have to take her off as she no longer has full no claims etc

she doesnt ever have to drive your car, just means she legally can and will be insured if she ever needs to, its a silly way of getting insurance cheaper, lots of ppl do it, totally legal

that make a bit more sense??
