Insurance - Pay by instalments?

If paying for insurance on an annual basis can you pay perhaps by two instalments rather than the one? I know that defeats the purpose of annual payment but can it be agreed by the insurer if requested?

Thanks,
Ben

Depends on the insurer, most will have the option to do a small amount of installments.

When I did mine once I paid half of it, but had to pay the other half within 2 weeks or it would auto switch to monthly payments and interest.

Don't think so, they either do one off or annual, anything else and they wouldn't get the benefit of interest or one off payment.

As above, use a credit card if you can't afford it in a oner mate.

My company have 3 options:

Pay in one go
Pay over broker installments (Paid over 4 months)
Pay via a credit agency over 11 months

I know someone who paid his off in 3 big monthly installments.

I've just done mine, got a 0% credit card and put it on there. 0% interest

I used a broker and they were cool with it, i think i did in 4 installments every so often, no interest added.

But some insurance people would be cool with it, they're still getting the money at end of the day, they make enough!
