insurance quote help

i am interested in buying a 172 cup. the best price i have got was £1400 with Adrian flux. I am 21 and have got 3 years no claims. i have recently got 3 points on my license for speeding. What companies does anyone reccomend to beat this price? cheers

not know he has 3 points he wont, if anything it will go up! yes i agree pete, normally a female on the policy, freat idea, but with 3 pointshe will b lucky to get it down any further!!!

would a female really make a difference. my girlfriend has been driving for 2 years. she is 20. surely that would put it up?

yep just have a play on elephant and c what u come up with

chucking my dad on brought policy down £100 from 700 to 600

tried chucking me mum on but was no gd lol, shes had a provisional for about 30 years and they didnt like that bit

so im not as lucky as rest of u with mums that drive

jus get 2 use my dad 2 save me money

I just did a quote with Elephant myself - adding my mother as a second driver (shes 64 with a lifelong clean license) brought my quote for a 182 down from 558 (fully comp) to 465...thats with 250 quid excess

im 21 182, would have had 4 years no claims but accident knocked it back down to one, with sp30 also, £1700 admiral.



worth it though.

adding family members brought it down too, but both older.

Im 25, 2 years ncb, clean licence and just renewed today on a standard 172 with elephant - was going to be £760 but I got a quote of £560 from admiral if I put my 26 year old GF on as a 2nd driver, or £690 with me only. Its unreal how adding a person brings my policy down!

In the end elephant matched the £560 admiral quote - theyre sister companies. Great service from them. You can also play around on their website, adding mods and see how it affects your policy.

i just had a play on elephant. adding my mum dropped £250 off the quote.. touch but for some reason, it added 130 to my quote from direct line when adding my mum.. (id add my gf but she is only 21)
