Insurance quote needed 4 young driver

just got my nephew a new car cos he's just passed his test, he's 17 here's a pic of the new motor:

Insurance quotes are unbeleivable, - 4k 3rd party only when the car is worth less than half that ffs anyone know a good company for new/young drivers???

Tesco are usually helpful. It may save money by putting his Mum or Dad onto the policy as a named driver.

They gave the best quotes for me when i passed my test. What engines in it? As said above adding mom or dad helps, I actually have my sister in law and dad on mine saved me £200, thats with bell.

Best quote so far £1658.30 (that's £8.00 quid more than I paid for the car lol) a company called 17 to 40 - got lot's more qotes to get though...

AA was £2352.93 - I officially feel sorry for all the young/new drivers out there becasue the Insurance companies are clearly taking the p*ss

i think thats about as good as you'll get. My first years insurance was £1300 on my 1.3 fiesta, that was 3 years ago!

id never pay over a grand at 17! i know its illegal but when i was 17 i got my insurance in my dads name, the car is in his name etc, used his no claims bonus which was maximum and had me as a frequent driver, cost £400 as opposed to £1,500+! did u not consider doing that?

Yep Quinn direct V good for first year. My renewal just came through from them, 18, 1yr NCD, fully comp etc and it was 1150, got a quote for 850 with NUD the other day
