I have a catback exhuast, drilled front brakes and the car is lowered. Now im with tesco atm they have quoted me £940 its a saving of 22% from last year which i feel is quite good. Iv tryed green llight but they are closed today. How else should i try because i know alot wont touch me as the car is modified.

neil why is it that if your in an accident which was complete not your fault, other driver admits liability and you make no claims or losses to your insurance company does your premium go up? Insurance is a f**king scam, they just do what ever they like!

I'm 22, 6 years NCB and have the same car as you but with no mods, £585 from Direct Line. And their quotes are normally stupid!

Only thing is they say they wont insure mods for under 25's but you could try pleading?

Not really sure why it would go up if the claim had been settled non-fault, did you gain any points or add modifications mid year that may of resulted in the increase?

If the claim was still pending (your insurer may be still awaiting the monies and your excess from the third party insurer) this may effect the premium until they make a full recovery, if your renewal increased due to the pending claim you should receive a refund of the additional money charged once its fully settled.

Sorry i can't be mush more help but without seeing the case particulars its hard to give my opinion.

I Take it that you are not insurerd with us??

Best Regards
