Insurance quotes

whilst i work for an insurance company even with staff discount they still wanted twice what i took out my policy eventully for with Norwich Union, so this year having a good look around prior to renewal to see what deals i can get, have so far tried these companies on line..

DIRECT LINE

RENAULT

ESURE

MORETHAN (PART OF ROYAL SUNALLIANCE WHOM I WORK FOR!)

RAC

So far directline is the cheapest by £30 but anyone recommend any other sites for quotes? i recall one with somebloke from topgear or something that took quotes from loads of differenct insurers

Tesco came out £25.00 more than directline whichs a bit weird as i am sure directline do the insurance for Tesco!

My experience with that sort of thing (e.g. http://www.confused.comwww.confused.com) is ridiculous. My cheapest quote was about £2,800 lol

Direct Line cheapest for me so far, closely followed by Elephant

so far my renewal would seem to be around £150 less than last year which i am pretty happy with

Im with renault insurance, coz ive got a cup and im only 21, with not a years full driving licence yet ive been hammered on insurance.



The cheapest i found was renault, but that is £1800 a year. Elephant were a joke, they wanted £8750 a year to insure me. Hence y i chose renault!!

Liverpool Victoria/ Frizzell seem good value for most people plus mods are allowed at no extra cost as long as they dont affect the CC of the car.

mate re tesco did you phone them for a quote or did you get the quote online? because there is a diff between them when i appiled online i had a price i was pleased with but when i phoned them to ask a question about the cover the doris told me what i needed to no and then asked if i want to complete the transaction i said yep she gave me a dif price a lot more i said thats not the price i got online she said no its cheaper to buy online so off i went about 10% cheaper online something like that.

Try your local insurance broker. You might be surprised. Clio Cup quoted with Direct Line was around £640 with £200 excess. Local insurance broker, £585 with £270 excess.

i used a broker to get introduced to norwich union last year, they gave me 5 years no claims! from working in insurance i know what buggers some companies are like to deal with when a claim happens, hence i dont touch any form of policy with Lloyds in London.

As slayer says though if you think you will have difficulty getting a quote a good broker can do a good deal for you

Any reason your father is a named driver? If you put your mother instead you insurance will probably drop - mine did by £100.

ive just saved £125 with HIC they dont care about most mods and you can pay in instalments next best was elephant but i am an old fart so my insurance isnt that high anyway

mate, i got the quotes online, tescos insurance is just a branding done by directline, just find it weird that directline are cheaper than tesco, going to ask my work tomorrow and see what i get quoted for with my staff discount

well just say my mum passed her test on the 14th attempt...i am sure that you will agree thats reason enough not to let her lose on the clio, old boy is just so he can pick car up from the railway station etc if i am having a liquid lunch at work

U wounld think though.....?? It was cheaper to put my dad on as a named driver wheras if i put my mum on as a named driver it went up!!!!

Insurance clearly know that woman shouldnt be trusted with 172s!!
