Insurance/Tax Question

Hi guys, im hoping one of you can help mke with this.

Im just awaiting delivery of my new car so the Clio is to be sold, my question is though, the Clio's Tax is due to run out at the end of this month, if the car hasnt sold by then and i want to re-tax it, will i be able to do so using my insurance certificate i currently have for it even though this will have been superseeded by my ner insurance certificate for the new car?

haha just as i thought then. well we all have to be a little bit naughty at times dont we
