Insurance - That time again !

Car  White Sti Hatch
So runs out this month :/ so off to sit on the phone to foreigners who don't understand a word you say !

Looking for some company's to try

Went thought

Im 21 (22 this year) - 4Years NCB - SP30 :/ - Megane 230 R26

Flux - £854 F/C through Aviva (they woudlent insure me till i was 25 when i phoned directly *Shrugs*)

Elephant - £934.05 F/C (with them for 4 years so)

Anyone recommend other company's to try

i've just been on the phone to brentacre today. they came up with £789 for me with my slightly modified clio.

i was hoping for better tbh but they're worth a try. i made the mistake of telling them what admiral offered for my renewal :(

best thing about brentacre is they let you do any mods providing you don't go over a certain bhp value.

i'm also 22, 4 years ncb (in a few weeks) and i live in a good area :) (island full of old people)

Admiral for me this year. I tried Sky and Chris Knott but neither could compete due to me owning a "high performance" car at 23. Hmm.

Hi, we insure 23 year olds on single turbo Supras pushing 500BHP plus, our issue would not be the vehcile, it would more likely be something like your postcode or something else in the risk you are presending.

Cant see Dundee, Scotland being a high risk area (DD3) i will give yourselves a phone tomorrow

Deffo try greenlight, you seem a good match for them, they have always been best for me :)

Greenlight mate, they should definately be able to do something nice for you

As long as you haven't made a claim in the last 12 months which was your fault...unfortunately that's why I had to change Admiral today and got a very good quote through Confused.com :)

oh god not another insurance thread.

Only way of getting cheap insurance is spend hours, being board out of your mind entering details into EVERY insurance comp you can think of.

My cheapest have been
Privildge
Direct line
Brentacre
Greenlight

In that order.

I'm in the same boat. Is it normal to have to pay a deposit again if you stay with the same company? (Paying monthly)

Flux have still be the cheapest for me Brentacre were coming up in the £1300 waiting on a reply from Greenlight, Sky cant beat flux either and Chris Knott wont touch me cause im not 25

i can't understand insurace atm, went through the quote thing to see how the quote changes when i mod different bits (my insurance isn't actually out until nxt jan!) it'd seem chipping it to upto +20bhp would cost me £50 more whilst lowering would be £400. Also a decal or sticker would increase it by £400 too (what count's as a decal/sticker though :-s) Looks like i wont be changing a thing until i leave the current one, but they've got me stuck in a bonus accelerator, so as far as i know i'll loose some of my no claims by switching at the end of the year, which is a bit rubbish tbh

I just called up flux again if i remove the breakdown cover the price jumps up £100 nearly n i aint paying for somin i dont need nor more than what elephant are wanting off me ! looks like ill be sticking with them for another year !!
