All these injuries from something that:
Wasn't a head on (so no closing speed of the other car)
Impact into her rear, very little lateral impact
You've effectively t-boned her rear quarter
Overall, you've driven into a moveable object at significantly less than 30 mph
...and it's caused all these serious injuries?
Haha, not that I begrudge you but it smells like a cheeky P.I. claim to me.
I'm sorry for your accident, all sounds like a lot of a faff, but the serious injuries you claim to have suffered, whilst I'm not a doctor, smell a bit whiffy to me?
I hope you can see why I think this (presumably others do too).
I'n not offended in the slightest, I totally understand the point you're making however I'm not 'faking' probably a case of not explaining it very well. The 'faff' is all relating to my car being either repaired or written off, not the injuries.
I'm not 'seriously' injured as such, I've got whiplash and a back injury that needs physio. I'm 22, fairly active and healthy yet I can't really do much of the physical activity that I'd normally be doing because of the back injury. I've been examined by two doctors both who agree I've sustained whiplash and a back injury.
I honestly wish I was on the blag for a cheeky PI claim; it'd be a lot less pain and hassle. I'm off work, because I can't drive or sit down for long periods of time so I'm losing commission as I work in a sales role thats mainly commission based. I'm paying someone to ride my comp pony to keep her fit, because I'm not physically able to as its my lower back & hips that act as a 'shock absorber' when riding and I'm simply just not able to do it as well as the various other day to day things I can't do like drying my hair without assistance etc.
As I understand it PI claims are for the effects to your 'normal' life and injuries sustained, both of which I've suffered.
She was moving when I hit her, as she was coming across my path. I hit her hard enough to mount the opposite kerb and smash one of my wheels, pushing the tyre off the rim.
I'm not really looking to name and shame; its an internet based insurer though.
No idea Paul; they've finally assessed the car today but could be 48 hours before they decide what to do... great.
