Insurance - who do insure your RS with?

  Black Ph2 172
For me the Bell/Admiral/Elephant group seem to be the cheapest - but if there are any other good ones out there would be good to know about :).

Many thanks,

Andy

I'm with Sky Insurance now, Flux last year. Both very good service, no dodgy call centres and know what they're talking about.

Is yours still standard apart from exhaust Andy? If it is and you're going to mod more this year, then I'd get some quotes from some modified specialists as quoted in a few posts above as they could work out cheaper than insuring a standard car with the everyday companies, who will then rape your wallet when you add mods.

Mine was £780, 5yrs NCB protected, 12k miles and all mods declared.

wow thats good! ye still standard at the mo, well i got the miltek on there but it came with the clio. no silly mods like sound system or anything, but with the crash i had 2 years ago dirct line seemed the cheapest tbh, prob shop around in may to see if i can bring it down :)

Direct Line, but come renewal time depending on their quote I'll shop around. DL have always seen me right with RS'. Can't wait to be 25 though, even though this year I'll have 5 NCB.

Im with HIC https://www.hertsinsurance.com/

I dont have a RS YET, but im with them on my corsa and im getting quotes of around £600 Fully comp, 3 years driving 3 years ncb 21 years old

Also they tend to be cheeper if you have it as modified. For example, it was coming up £50-£100 cheeper just for saying i have a different air filter. (Which they told me to say!)

Really helpfull, give them a call. Also say you are on a car forum and they discount for that.

Brentacre for me, there quote with all my modifications declared was £50 cheaper than a standard insurance quote. Updating modifications is easy as well, give them a quick call and it sorted straight away.

^^^^this

£500 cheaper than flux (who called me a liar when I told them their price) with all engine mods up to 180bhp (I think) and all other mods free.

Excellent service too.

Sky insurance are really helpful too, you also get Cliosport discount and one guy is on here too for ease of talking to them!
