I'm sure a number of us can be ring fenced by that stereotype. On the flip-side, what sort of image do you portray driving a 15 year old Vauxhall that scrapes the tarmac and spits flames?

Seems to start reasonably and then just descends to

Or words to that effect.

I hate vauxhalls theyre poo, my missus works there and all i ever hear is how good the vxr's are and i should test drive a vxr astra. I would rather stick a fork in my eye.

I have tried to explain the affects of so much power in a fwd car but to no avail, its like trying to explain the off side rule.

Power in FWD doesn't necessarily mean spin, spin, spin anymore...

There's aspects of the VXR range that I absolutely adore, but then there's the exhaust and stupid fish gills that make me reach for that candle/fork/finger...

Its not really the spin that bothers me its the torque steer.

I've not got much experience, but don't modern LSD's prevent much of that happening now?

Correct me if wrong, I'm genuinely curious.

I thought the whole thread seemed quite reasonable really. The Clio isn't unbeatable, and those guys seem to respect it, so it's all good :)

Well any 2.0 tigra will be heavier than a Clio for my money... and with less power.... Doubt it would be serious ownage though.
