interferance through 6x9

just fitted two amps and was wondering why i was gettin a whining noise thru the speakers, anyone know how to fix it?

I just unplugged the lot and plugged it all back in nice and tight, checking everything was as it should be, and it got rid of mine.

check you have got a good earth on the amps and also make sure that the power cables to the amps runs down the side of the car but the phono leads run down the centre. failing that you may need what is called a supressor on the live wire going to your amps.

suppresor only masks the problem,fitted a pioneer headunit?bolted your amps to the back of your seat?

Got the same problem through my sub. Earth is good, everything is tight (Tried several earthing points with the same outcome, ie. isofix bar, seatbelt bot, rear headlight earth). Been suggested it could be alternator whine?

Any reason why you asked about a Pioneer headunit? Curious as thats what I have

its a kenwood unit. everythings tight an sound but still a noise.

no mate the rca is up the middle, live up pass side and remote ur drivers. its kl nw mate ive got it working

Does it get worse when you rev the car?

My old sound system did this... Bought a Ground Loop Isolator which sorted it:

Sorted my problem out, just turned the gains down on my amp and turned the bass booster up on my HU. Dont know why I didnt think of doing that sooner!
