Interior Light Fault

Car  206
Hi there :) im new!

I actually drive a 206 but my sister has just bought a Mk2 2002 Clio :approve:

The interior light keeps coming on when she goes round bends and the dash says that a doors open. Do we assume that theres a fault with one of the doors??

also the service light comes on every so often, today it didnt come on but was on yesterday and briefly on tuesday :S

sounds like a sensor has gone on one of the doors somewhere - see if you can pin it down as to which one it is - that will give you a starting point.

as for the service light - does anything happen along with it? loss of power or anything like that?

sounds like it may have to go on the diagnostic :(

Have a look at the little black "nipple" thats visable by the seal when the doors open. The door should close onto it when shut, turning the light off.

Did this ever get sorted? I'm having the same problem. Every time I go round a corner the interior illumination light comes on and then slowly fades.

Don't know if this is of any relevance, but the passenger door won't lock/unlock with the rest of car from the fob.
