Interior Light Unit

  '95 Rsi
Hello,

Can anyone give a quick tutorial on removing the interior light/immobiliser unit found on the ceiling of a Clio N reg 1995 1.8 RSi.

I want to check the aerial nut for leaks before going to a garage to get my sunroof sealed.

Thanks

Ok got this off with a bit of force. Can't really tell if its the aerial nut or not that is leaking (its all a bit damp up there to be honest :) )

While I was up there I took out the immobiliser unit. Does anyone know where to source one of these so I might get my central locking working again?

It has the number 485487G5 on a sticker on it. Or perhaps someone has a spare working unit that isn't water damaged (ha! no chance I bet) they could give me for a tenner or something.

I have the same problem a year or so ago - dont know about the immobiliser but with the leaky aerial nut take the nut off remove the aerial and smear the underside of the aerial where it sits on the roof with vaseline. This gives a good water tight seal,

Cheers mate

I'm going to get a garage to squirt away at the roof. Not sure if it is sunroof, aerial nut or a combination. Tried some more tape where the metal of the roof meets the plastic sunroof surround and that helped in the rain, although not for long Imagine.

Thanks again Mike
