interior lock button

when i lock my car with the central locking button on the key, there is a light next to the lock button in the interior and that stays on for a while. Is it ment to stay on after the cars been locked? cheers

i did wonder myself when I first noticed it ! when you lock it on the inside press the button my light goes off over time then you think its not locked! renaults !

yh that was what i was thinking, i seen it on so just had a quick check to see if it had locked

any 1 got any ideas, about this?, i installed my new headunit 2 days ago and since i have, the lock button in side the car does't lock the car any more maybe a fuse?
