Interior lock door button doesnt do anything

As title really, the dealer says its because of the alarm, but surely it should work anyway? It only actually ever seems to light up when I press the butoon on the keyfob, but I'd expect it to lock your doors when you press it when your inside the car?

Does the car lock after you drive above 6mph..? IF not try holding the button in for 6 secs till you hear a beep, this enables and disables the R.A.I.D feature

mine always comes unplugd wen im messin with the headunit so it might have just come unplugd. pull your headunit presumin you have an aftermarket 1. and then prise the panel with the hazard light lock and rear demistor put with a flat headed screw driver be careful not 2 slip and scratch ya panel and its a red plug which is on the bunch from the headunit wires.
