Intermittent Airbag/serv light

How many others have had this fault with their Clios? Ive been told by the service dept at my local Reno dealer that this happens because the wiring is under drivers seat, and therefore when drivers seat is moved it can catch the wire...

Is this true? or am I just being fed a load of rubbish? The light is intermittent, Im a bit apprehensive in case I end up having a crash and the bag is deemed faulty or would not deploy due to this fault.

Any help/comments would be appreciated...

Its the plug under the seat. but not sure about wether it affects the airbag deployment.

i know of a couple that have had these problems. 1 had the plug changed under warrenty.

Yeah, its being done under warranty, Im just wondering how many other people this has happened to.

almost everyone i think, mine does it every few months and i just push the wires back in properly. if you crash with your airbag light on then afaik the airbags wont deploy.

I thought Cups didnt have side airbags?

Happened to mine mate was sorted within 20 minutes at the dealer under warranty.

I had a pair of shoes under my passenger seat and caused some problems - I am now wearing said pair of shoes. No more problems.

Cups dont have side airbags, but theyve got the drivers and passengers airbags. Ill have to check under both seats and see if theres any wires loose
