intermittent starting

Can anyone help? Sometimes my car wont start Ive noticed on these occassions the red light is flashing. Engine wont turn over, try it again immediately afterwards and its fine, starts and runs like a guddun. Done some searches and my thoughts are immobiliser problem. Have had a poke around the relays but dont know which one I should be looking at? If it as to go to the dealers as anyone got an idea of the likely costs. Its never actually let me down after a few turns of the key it always come good. Its had a new battery recently. If its a relay problem can anyone tell me which one it is?

a new key and coding of it. dont go to renault dealers to get it done tho

Is tht a deffinate fix as im having this trouble all the time now, took me 20 mins before it would start yesterday.

Nightmare this problem, mine is doing it more and more now and really hoping a new key will sort it!!

find some car key specialist, this happens due to a micro brake of a pcb line, sometimes the key can be fixed.

put some stress on the key while turning to ACC position, see if it helps

tiggsy iv found that if iv just turned the electrics on, or started the car for only a couple or minutes, then leave the car for a few hours, when i try and turn it on it just turns over for a while... dont know if your doing anything simillar?
