International Security Register - anyone bother?

Just found the brochure for the Renault Int'l Security Register whilst having a clear-out. Looks I have to pay £20 to register the car with them to have it on their database. I can see why people might do this as a free service when buying new, but are there any benefits in doing it when buying second hand?
