internet freezing and unable to shutdown

  -
ive recently installed spybot, zone alarm and avast to protect my laptop.

since doing so in the middle of using the internet, pages will fail to load. and if i close firefox it wont re open telling me its already running. and task manager wont close it either.

also i then try to restart and it wont. i have to turn off manually.

any ideas? i thought if it was the firewall or anti virus it wouldnt let me connect at all but it seems to happen after a period of time.

for a restart, type the following in a CMD window or the run window:

restart -f -r -t 1

or for a shutdown use:

restart -f -s -t 1

It will force all programs/ processes to quite and will shutdown regardless.
