intresting engines

can you guys post up pics info/spec on engines that would make a clio intresting

i no ben_p is going down the superchargerd route which seems intresting and no you can use the vag engine so pics of 1*2 lumps running turbos our ITB's etc please post pics and information has not got to be a renault engine just somethink which could come across as a gd idea to do have been thinking a fully rebuilt valver lump running the meggy bottom end

A valver engine running a megane 2.0 bottom end was done ages ago. I think Matbrown did it about five years ago now.
This was before everyone started willifying valvers (or making what's known as a hybrid on here)

i still think i rear wheel drive clio with a motorbike engine would be cool with the car completly stripped so engine in back and just to front seats.... something like a haybusa engine with nos that would s**t on acceleration like there is know tomorrow...i would love to do something like that

A chap is putting his turbo 172 engine in the back of his.

Hayabusa engine with 160bhp in a 1000kgs wouldn't make much difference to a 1*2.

okies what about dual engine hayabusa in front driving front wheels and one in back driving rear lol.... and surely it would make a hell of a difference even one hayabusa engine to a 1.2 my 1.2 only got 68bhp and lower revs so it must be quicker puting a motorbike engine in there

if you can keep the rev's up it'll be quick but they're not built for torque.

civic type R engine in a clio would be different... the sound of VTEC from a clio would be propper confusing in sleeper trim.

haybusa engine in willy has been done there is a video on youtube of a twin engined haybusa powerd clio the acceleration is unbalivable

2.0 16V diesel engine the 175 or the top 150 version with the cam ballancer shafts supercharged with a low pressure torbo ontop (box won't take any more. Pk4 box will be a limiter but its the best box.

The V6 from the rover or the 2.0 V6 for the Maxda would be an idea.

Its a fake its a normal 2.0 with a few bits which was insanly quick the video is sped up.

That sounds interesting, would the engine/gearbox fit in the clio? assuming its rather large?

Should do only one way to be sure. Engine same size block sort of wise as the 172.

Otherwise theres always the SAAB turbo or C20LET engine for cheap HP.

didnt nick hill build that??


main reason most ppl werent going the 2.0 route in their valver back then was because of the expense really, about 5-6 years ago i priced up what itd cost for me to hybrid my valver.....with what the car was worth, and the expense of the bits, it worked out cheaper to sell, and buy a williams.........never looked back


back on topic tho. there were a few pics knockin about a while ago of a guy who was throwin a v8 in the back of a mk1.
