Inverting, arse up, reversing subs..?

Hi can any body tell me how big the box has to be when you mount the sub facing the box..? do you go by the recommended volume size for the sub and reduce it the volume of the magnet..? is that correct?
Any advise would be great!

Reduce the box volume by the total volume of the driver unit, not just the magnet.

dont forget to change the phase.
