Iphone 4 Card Issue

I got an iphone 4 today on Vodafone, changed jobs and lost the perk of a company phone so just wanted the same as I had and wasn't really bothered about the "s".

I've had a pay as you go phone on Vodafone for years so thought I would keep that number. The guy in the shop said that by the time I got home the Iphone sim would be using the old PAYG number. I've just got home to set the phone up and the contract seems to be on the old phone sim card with the iphone saying "no signal".

I'll call Vodafone in the morning but just wondered if there is anything I am missing?

you need to activate the micro sim

There's an activate microsim link on the voda website. I think I had to do that when I switched from a normal to a micro sim and it was done in 2 minutes.
