i hae just got an iphone 3gs and everything seems to be working fine however were 3g usually appears i have a solid circle or a circle with a hole in the middle is there a reason for this? Also my friends have an iphone and theres displays 3g so it is not the location cheers

Have you got 3g turned on in the settings?

If you have, are you on 02/same network as your friend with a 3G compatible sim card?

If you are, its the phone/location.

erm not sure about the sim as i put the sim in out of my blackberry will this matter

Means ur not in a 3g spot, at times I get the o at tines I get E which stands for edge and the o means ur connected to GPRS,

I don't think u will have a 3G sim card then. Contact the network and get one sent out, or visit a store

Sure he will prob just not somewhere where u can get 3g, I can't get 3g in some parts of the city

8900 isn't 3g, and depending how long he has had it etc it might not be.

Could have s**t signal aswell but it's worth a go if nothing else is working
