Ahh. If they can get o2 on board then it'll definately work better than the other app, but it's still not perfect with notification of incoming messages being through badge updates.

Not sure where people are getting their figures from, but last time I checked (Novemberish) O2 3G service was capped at 1.8Mbps.

There are other 3G providers

True, but the vast majority of the 3G owners on here still won't have acquired a handset and unlocked their baseband. So for the iPhone it's a fairly null point.
