Ipod connection.

OK guys and gals, I have a question.

Ive just come back from malaysi with a lovely new 40gb Ipod and an Itrip, with the intention of using it to play my tooons in my standard mark 2 clio 172. However the i-trip is a bit w*nk as it has a sort of am buzz about it and the clarity is rubbish. Also as I cover some long distances I am constantly having to shift frequencies because regional radio broadcasts interfere with the damn thing.

What I would like to know is, as I dont have a multichanger wired up to the stereo (its an import) can I plug the Ipod in to this so that the audio is fed by cable into the head unit, amped up and played via the speakers. Im sure it is possible but I want to know if the cables are already there and where to find them. Also as I havent got round to looking yet, how do I remove the headunit? Do I need a key for it, or do you think renault will do it for me if I ask nicely?

Finally, have you seen the BMWs that now come prewired for your Ipod? How trick is that? If I could achieve that in my clio I would be laughing!

Thanks for the help in advance ;)

Yeah you can get a line in cable for most aftermarket hus.

Standard stereo pins to remove standard renault hu.

does anyone have anything slightly more constructive to say than  ?

If Im not being clear please ask. Ive reread my post and all I can see that may be confusing is Malaysi should be Malaysia and what I mean by "am buzz" is that buzzing, crackling and whistling you usually associate with AM radio stations.

I have emailed a company called "denison" I found in a previous post and will let you folk know if I get a response.

arse, I have the FM modulator (itrip) but it sucks. There must be an audio in on the standard stereo that would usually be used for the multichanger isnt there? If I can find the right cables, find the cable that tells the headunit the multichanger is there and give it the right signal (probably ground or 12V) then I should just bea able to use the Audio in cables. Theoretically I should be able to control the Ipod via the stereo as well, although that may be a bit beyond me.
