ipod + itunes question...

i have a 4gb nano and itunes on my computer..

a mate of mine doesnt have a computer (yes really!!) but is wanting an Ipod, can he stick his ipod onto my computer and get my songs...or will this erase my songs from itunes cause his ipod will be blank???

also....without a computer..what charging solutions are there for ipod? mine is either charging on my pioneer head unit or in my bose sounddock in my room...

Not sure about your first question but regarding the second you can buy speakers and when you use them it charges it, otherwise I think you can buy an actual charger.

I would tell him to get an mp3 player thats not an iPod, then he can drag and drop the songs the wants from yours and all his friends computers, rather than mess about with your iTunes.
