ipos to alpine head unit do u need the KCA420i adaptor or can u use a lead like this

the KCA420I adaptor gives you full ipod control via the headunit so you can put i the ipod in the glovebox and search through tracks etc via the headunit.

Or you can use the AUX lead way but then you have to have the ipod on display and browse tracks etc via the ipod. Depends how you want it.

Dont have that exact headunit have the 9855R myself and its a great unit i find. Newer ones are very good as well.
