ipod video question please!!

Do these 30gb ones come with a normal 3 pin plug so that you can charge it up as it doesnt say this anywhere!!!i dont wanna charge it via usb as i wont always have a computer near me!!

Would people recommend these over the sony nwa3000 players?

jeeeez just been to dixons and they dont even come with a mains plug thats shocking and it costs £20!!!ebay it is just gotta decide what one to get ipod/creative/sony!

Amazon sell the nwa3000 really cheaply so I'd go for that if you want value for money. But if money isn't an issue I'd go for the 30gb ipod and buy a mains charger. Can't comment on Creative because I've never had one, but battery life and sound quality are unbeatable on the Sony. You could buy my Black one at the right price

yeah thats only £168!!!seems pretty good, but the ipods on £190!!

Its definitly out of these 2, the sony looks a bit akward to fit in the pocket and looks bulky but is it?everything apple sell like accessories seem like a fooking ripp of £20 for a charger seems a bit ridiculous!

Someone make my mind up!!are there any new ones coming out which i can wait for??anyone no?

I find the nwa3000 isn't as bulky as it looks. It is quite heavy but that just makes it feel like a quality product, which it is. In terms of putting it in your pocket, you will notice it, but it's no thicker than a phone (in fact it's quite a bit slimmer than my d600).

In terms of accessories there aren't many out there for the nwa3000 because obviously they aren't as popular as ipods. And yes, apple will rip you off for accessories.

yeah just noticed the new creative that looks huuuge tho!!think it may boil down to the market leader just because there is so many crappy little accessories which make things easier to do!!if you see what i mean, plus its soo fooking thin its half the thickness of the sony which is shocking!!

Yeah, although the dimensions of the nwa3000 dont seem entirely accurate on websites. I'd go for the ipod personally if money is no issue.

Get the new creative vision:m, mine arrived last week and its awesome, for those who say its huge it's the same size an an ipod width and height just slightly deeper but the fact that the screen is has 5x the amount of pixels, double the video battery life, recordable radio etc pretty much makes up for that!

Are ipod videos plug and play so i can just drag music files on to it or do you have to use itunes which i dont tend to use!!!as its shite?

You have to use itunes. Which is a shame because I would much prefer draging and dropping the music over...

Before I had the Ipod Video I had the Archos AV380 which was 80gb, but after 3/4 years I dropped it. Archos are drag and drop and I must admit it the bass was BRILLIANT. It sounded loads better than my current Ipod.

yeah ive just had a look at a 30gb one and its sooooo thin!!im yet to see a creative vision one, but will have to look at them just to see how big they are!!!
still undecided but with payday on tues the moneys burning a deeper hole in me pocket!!

I got the 30gb one and it doesn't come with the mains charger, the usb power adaptors on ebay for 5quid dont work either (looking at feedback i'm not only one, if only checked before).. they power the dock that i've got but dont charge! anyway i stumped up 20 quid for the apple one and its fine.

^^^ if you lot knew what i know you could get all the extras for free. i'l give you a clue, apple include ALL extras in the normal ipod warrenty. and most of the time the dont ask for the old bits back

GO FOR IPOD! have the black 30gb video and it is very nice to use.
