is a 182 exhaust restrictive?



Hi, im looking at going back to my normal exhaust with a decat, at the moment i have a full miltek with decat, is the 182 exhaust restrictive? and is ther a noticable difference, i hav had my miltek on a while and cant remember! just i think im starting to not like the loudness anymore,thanks.

its not restrictive no, you won't notice much if any difference in performance

The reason most people change is the build quality
 
As T5PHY mentions the main reason people head for aftermarket systems is that they are life long (if stainless) and can bring small power gains as a bonus.

There are ways to quiet a loud system down if it is too noisy, lots of custom exhaust companies will add more silencers etc for relatively little pennies so that's worth a thought.

+ If your system is de-catted the first step I would take would be to refit a 182 cat.

The standard 182 system if a heavy old piece of kit but it's not restrictive.
