Is it any cheap way how to build short gear box?

Is it any cheap way how to build short gear box? I need it for auto-slalom.

What about to change differential gearing ratio? Can I use some parts from another Clio type? My friend did it on his Saxo VTS and its working perfectly!

IIRC you can use any JB** box its justa case of finding one with short ratios, try to Renault Kangoo box, mark ritchspeed used to/does run that on his rally car....mk1 clio, you useing the 172??

I have Clio Sport 172 Mk1. Is it really necessary to change whole box? Will it fit into my Clio? What about changing just differential gearing ratio?

Or, another cheap way?

tbh thats prolly gonna be the easiest and cheapest way other option is to replace the internals
