Is my air con working?

When I hit the AC button the light comes on but the air isn't any cooler.

Also on other cars I've had with AC when you turn it on you can hear the compressor start up and the engine labour a little because of it. But I don't get this on the 182.

Thoughts? Just a re-gas or is the compressor not kicking in?

On my 182, when I pressed the ac on, there was a click from the engine bay.

if the pressure is low it will not turn on - this protects the compressor as the gas carries the lubricating oil

when mine went there was a hissing noise coming from the engine when inside the car. when i turned off the aircon the noise stopped. regassed it and all good.

kwikfit will regas it for £20ish & if it doesn't make any difference you can get a refund, otherwise you can normally get it serviced for about £80ish where they check for leaks etc. & then tell you its going to cost £300 to fix

Don't say that LOL. Mines going to the stealers tommorrow for a service and regas!
