is my aux tensioner fooked? (video inside)

did around 60miles last Sunday, burning (electrical\rubbery), smell and smoke from belt area...I think either my aux tensioner or pulley is fooked. Pretty sure my air con compressor is bust too...anyone able to have an educated guess?

yup, that sounds like a steering pump on its way to go
try to refill pas oil

As its noisy, get a aux belt kit from renault (£50 from wolvo), and while its off check the water pump spins freely, or just replace that too if you fancy it.

Always hard to diagnose a noise problem with a video.

I'm going against the grain and saying I think that could be Aircon compressor clutch. Turn the AC on and see if it shuts up.

pretty sure you are spot on Dan...I thought the compressor may be fooked and when I turn the climate on it nearly stalls the engine...

99% sure it's not the PS pump as there is no additional whine when I turn load up the steering.

was definatley the air con compressor; could hardly spin it by hand and it has got so hot its melted the nylon on the nylock bolt
