Is my dogbone mount gone?

I am getting a clucking noise when i accelerate frm standstill sometimes, also when i hit bumps in the road i get it sometimes, it doesnt always happen though. Any ideas?

If it is dogbone mount how do i check it without taking it out?

it sounds more like a suspension issue if it's clunking whilst going over bumps etc (may be bottom arms, arb, driveshafts) but, to check the dog bone, you'd ideally want to take it off to inspect it - although could put the front up (safely) on stands and lever the back of the unit (or have someone carefully rock it) to see if there's much movement there

often need to take things off to be sure they're shot unfortunately (unless it's obvious that they're really badly worn)

Could be a worn suspension bush that is moving a bit too much. Or if it is the rear mount then it is easy to replace.
Have a look under the car and get someone to rev it and see if the engine moves enough to hit anything.
Im no mechanic but thats my 2 pences worth

^that's a better idea than being underneath it; would try that first to see if there's any obvious movement

ok guys ill take a close look, i reckon i will replace the dogboen anyway and see if that helps because the gearstick does move back and forward slightly when you come on and off throttle.
