Is the Clio cig lighter non 'standard' size

My 182 cig lighter works fine, but neither of my plug in phone car chargers seem to get power when I pop them in.
Is there some French quirkiness going on here with regards to the inside of the lighter socket?

Clean it out fixes it sometimes. Normally not used for a while and get dirty

They are definitely different. Don't know how. Keep thinking about changing mine to a normal one but don't use it enough to bother

Mine fits SatNav/Phone charger etc perfectly, but I bought a replacement STANDARD lighter, and it didn't fit!

My old non sport did this, worked fine as a cig lighter but wouldn't work anything else. I took it all apart and really cleaned it and then it worked good as new

Mine always needs a wiggle for the phone charger to work. Does look proper grubby though.

sounds like it might be the things u use in the lighter socket? plenty of cheapo stuff on e bay that doesn't work/fit

Gave it a clean out and all is now working fine. Changed the blown bulb at the same time.
Another job ticked off my 'to do' list
