Is the hot weather effecting your car

am sure my car isnt pulling as cleanly as it shud over the past day or two, do think this is due to the air being so warm? its a 172 cup

  182 Cup, (2nd one)

In cold conditions the air is denser and creates more of a charge in the induction system producing more power.

So cold air and optimax = more BHP

In this weather the car will feel noticebly less responsive

didnt affect my 225 yesterday noticibly, the air filter is located at the rear of the engine bay (which gets ridiculously warm anyway) so the temp didnt have as much effect

my 182 felt limp yesterday when i was giving it a trashing round the roundabouts on the A11

:(

Hot weather + a/c on = limp risted 182

Well I dont know about car performance, but I know my non air conned car with a sunroof impares my driving when its about 50 degrees inside, the air just doesnt seem to cool down. I can wait till I can get an air con car.

mine felt quite fast this morning even though its stupidly hot.

But then again, some days if feels fast and some days it doesnt...

Due to the reduced efficiency, is my car using more fuel, it just seems that way?

My valver is really drinking petrol at the moment too. Bloody warmth! Still pulls quite well though but not aswell as it does when its 2 degrees out side.

Mine always feels a bit slower when the air is less dense. But today I smoked many a car while the outside temp was 32, with the windows closed and a frost building up inside, so its all good

Dont know if it was because of road temp but my car was spinning its wheels and seemed to be pulling harder than normal??? would have thought i had better grip in hot weather so i can understand it pulling a little better but the why was my wheels spinning? explain that?

Grip should be higher in hotter weather, snd your power should be less. Hardly ideal for increased wheel spin??

Using the AC a lot makes my T5 drink the fuel. Came back from work and averaged 19.6mpg

Oh well. Was nice and chilly inside the car!
