Is there a simple to use DVD ripping tools out there??

I'm trying to rip a DVD of our Wedding as we had two people with cameras and I want to edit boths sets of footage into one DVD. I have a DVD that I want to convert to avi so I can edit it in pinnacle. Is there an easy way to do this? Tried a couple of methods on videohelp.com but cant seem to do it lol

Jonnyboy go for DVDshrink which is free, I use it all the time to backup me dvd's just click and go then burn with nero etc.
