Yes as its weakened the structure where the subframe attaches to the car at one point. It needs patching up or scrapping.

Needs sorting! A plate welded over the top isn't going to fix it though! Needs to be done properly!

I have amig welder with 0.6mm wire at home. With a Carbon Dioxide / argon mix gas as well.
Out of practice myself for a few years but I may do it myself so I know it'd done properly. It would require a proper cut job on it.

Yes mate, it needs to be cut out properly and a new piece nicely welded in!

If the car had an mot within the last 3 months you could report the mot station for that as that should never had passed

Is rust getting common on older Clios then? One of the reasons I bought one was that rust wasn't a major issue.
