Is this ok for my viper

Ive got a viper from a 1.2 16v that didnt quite fit my 1.2 8v, as the diameter of the vipers end and my samco hose from my pipercorss open filter was different. So i used a small part of the hosing that the viper came with and bodged that on to the main samco hose, its on but makes some terrible noises when the engines cold does not sound good at all sounds sh*t infact, heres some pics, Is this ok, i think the airflow is getting restricted as its really tight, i have a decent cold air feed but the car doesnt feel as quick as it did with the pipercorss open filter.

how much did u get he viper for?

the problem you have got is that your trying to clamp down onto the silicone hose

get a metal hose joiner

whats the difference in diameters

I would get the viper and the 90 degree silicon pipe touching, then tighten the outer piece up.

Viper cost 95 quid off a m8s 1.2 16v second hand, only done 500 miles before he sold the car.

Thing is the 90 degree silicon pipe isnt big enough to connect to the viper thats why ive got the middle part to connect them both.

Not sure of the diameters at the moment, i would like one silicon hose that would connect to the engine and straight onto the viper instead of that middle bit

is there anywhere that make or sell them?

ring SFS and give them the measurements and they will sort you out with one

there is quite a long wait though at the moment

silicone hose will stretch slightly, can you not get it to go in, lookin at the picture it does look as though it would go in

maybe put a little bit of engine oil around the viper to lube it on

Rally design sell universal samco 90 degree bends of all sizes and do reducing bends as well which might be of use.
