is this possible??

right i had an idea the other day, did a photoshop quickly and seemed to get a good response as well.

i love it, but the question is, can it be done without doing damage to the wheels and making them unsafe?

and of course i price ;)

jamie

nah it will be fine.. have you seen how thin some aftermarket ones are......... will be easy to do just go mental with the angle grinder.. and skim some filler when your done..

hmmm spose you could grind the ridge off, not sure whether it would be worth it though really, best getting the 16 inch megane wheels like russ had on his clio which are pretty much a smooth version of the 172 wheels

lol giles ;) your bonnet is heavier than mine :D

you think josh mate? can i get it done at a wheel refurbers?

jamie

yeh it shouldbe fine, but make sure u really want to do it, if u decide u dont like em in the metal.......

yeah thats what i though ali, kudos on the new car ali mate :)

yeah, well i may have got someone to do it for me, that fancies a mess about ;) thanks josh ;)

jamie

right, well this is going ahead, josh has kindly agreed to "have a play" ;)

so watch this thread!!

jamie

thought so, bloody 15s and big tyres ;) :D

kidding, great photoshop, gonna copy it and make it a bit bigger, cheers lad :)

jamie

I prefer your photoshop Jamie rather than the above. Take the bulk of the material away but leave enough so that you can build a curve into the face. The fully smootheed version above just looks too flat and plain.

It's at Pauls on Friday for the cambelt and aux' belt changing. She'll be dirty though no doubt.

Not sure what she'll need to be honest. Could do with a good cut first. It will probably take more time than is available once the belts are done.
