Is this the right starter motor

on GSF they have listed..
R90106 - STARTER MOTOR CLIO 1.2/1.4 (EXC DIET ENG)
Is this the right one for a 2002 1.2 16v D4F

or is it..
R90110 - STARTER MOTOR CLIO 1.2-DIET ENGINE

afaik the 16v isn't the diet engine, therefore you want the R90106 one mate.

Not sure about that one, the 1.2 16v is based on the diet engine and they share the same (ish) bottom end I think, so could be that one.

I've since been informed that the 1.2 8V diet and 1.2 16v share the same bottom end as said above. I therefore cannot confirm either way mate sorry. Try someone more technical like edde, FredYozzasport or Matt Black.

Probably best to just ring your local renault stealers and speak to the parts dept, its what I normally do. I could give you a price but it'd be from a 3yr old copy or dialogys so its probably changed.

Ok, the two options are :

77 00 864 608 STARTER CL 320.28 ---3 x 1
77 01 499 651 EXCH STARTER CL 70.56 ---3 x 1

Now the top one is for a new starter only, and quite frankly wow it even surprised me , and I payed £1.26 for the little screw cover from the door handle today :dapprove: (it was missing and it was getting to me, yes im anal).

The bottom one is where you give them your old one in exchange for the new one plus that price (i assume), that'll be the option you want i'll guess.

There both without VAT so its £376.33 and £82.91 respectively.
