I'm no expert but how can it be a 1080p tv when it's resolution is - Number of Pixels: 786,432 (1,024 x 768) pixels ??

Edit - It's not that's how..

Although the TH42PX70 is not a true Full HD 1080P TV

if you want 1080p ie your going to use it with a pc then the tosh is much better (tosh is a very nice tv)

the panasonic isnt 1080p but it will accept a 1080p signal then down convert it to a 4x3 screen format 1024x768

I've got that one. Can't fault it at all. KDF and Steve will be along in a minute to sing it's praises too.

My boss just bought the Tosh for his study. He set it up and found 5 dead pixels in a group within an hour. They are going to replace it FOC.

Im using the panny right now as a computer monitor.. infact all my TV watching is via my linux PVR box.

As Lee said, the Panny is top notch.. cant fault it at all. It does accept 1080p but you wont get the benefit of it as you'll be seeing at 720p resolution ! dont think is really worth it till you go 50"+ anyway !

On the LCD/Plasma note, my sister went through 4 replacement samsung 42" LCD's all with dead pixels before she took my advice and got a plasma.. hasnt had any trouble with it in 2 years now.
