Is this worth spending a few quid on?

just planning on using it to remove swirl marks, then might use it occasionally but not often,

dont see the point buying a G220, so is this worth a purchase?

Not enough power to be able to remove swirl marks. It's more of a buffer than a polisher. Pointless IMO.

lol, those things are useless. Put a slight bit of pressure on them and they stop spinning.

i used one years ago with T-Cut, brought the car up lovelys and masked/removed 99% of the swirls

They are shite, my dad bought something similar for polishing his boat, put any pressure on it and they stop! Completely useless, you definatly won't get any correction with that.

The Argos think wont do any sort of paint correction!

I would not jump on straight away with a Rotary, the Porter Cable D.A types machine will do the job and are a better bet for the beginner.
