Is your clio the car that makes u smile..

  2005 Impreza WRX STI

what car have u owned what puts the biggest smile on your face knowing its yours, and u just want to drive it at every opportunity! is it your clio???

mine is close between this and my valver i had, but i think the 172 wins

  silver valver/hybrid

i love my valver, ive had it 3 years and im still not bored of it, saying that i like driving anything, even the toyota van is a hoot to drive

My 172 Cup by a mile. Just feel happy to drive it anywhere. I still just go out for a drive when I have a spare hour or two, never know where Im going to go but usually find some good roads. I did over 500 miles of "nothingness" in my first week and I thought it would die off, but another 1000 miles and 3 weeks later Im still doing it. Nobody I know understands it, they think Im weird!

One minute its fun because of some hugely entertaining twisties which it just does without seeming to even try, next its out-accelerating some BMW rep-mobile on a dual carriageway (always very amusing, I think they think the RenaultSport badge is just some chav add-on!), and next I get people in petrol stations or elsewhere asking about it, thats something I never expected and indeed never expected to enjoy, but its a bit of a buzz actually. Its always stupidly clean and still looks brand new (especially with the private plate) so it does stand out, especially in this sunlight. Most comments are about the colour, very very popular.

Petrol costs are a bit painful though, especially at 95p (Ultimate) which Ive always used.

I love my valver as it always wants to play and rarely has an off day where it all feels wrong. :)

I loved my Escort RST for different reasons (i.e. the great big turbo rush, the on/off turbo lag, the fact it was quite cool  (IMO lol), the fact it set off car alarms in multistorey carparks, the much better driving position...) but it didnt have any of the feedback that the valver has so you couldnt really chuck it into a corner with any confidence.

Sometimes, when I feel down, a drive into the countryside and a 20 minute blast down the lanes cheers me up no end and lifts me from my little pit of depression :D

  v6 mk2

what do you think paul?????????????

it has a 3 litre engine where the rear seats should be!!!! v6 defo!!! 172 mk1 a close close 2nd though, loved ma 172!!! :D

Cheers, Ian.

My 172. All my other cars have just run arounds, but this one puts a smile on my face everytime I see it. Everyday I finish work I look forward to driving it home. I actually love washing it and I think I love this car more than my mum

Quality quote! I do enjoy washing my car as well which is a bit odd, do it weekly at least. I racking up 500 miles a week though since I got it (for no particular reason, usual mileage is 250max) so its a justified clean!

Difficualt one but the Williams I think. However I miss the stearing from my Escort. Unfortunatly the chassie and suspension wasnt that good for outright performance.

Not much in it,but id pick my XR2 turbo-technics over my Wily I think. Only because of the more stealth like performance the fiesta had! The Clio allways makes me smile though& it corners even better than my WRX could.

After 8000miles, I still drive my 182Cup every chance I get. Its by far the sweetest drivers car Ive owned from...

Mini
Nova Swing
Rover Metro Gta
Peugeot 306XSi
Fiat Bravo - company car
Fiat Stilo - company car
RS Clio 182Cup

...in that order, with the Clio being a clear winner, 306 second, but hugely underpowered for its abilities.

Awkward question, my 306 Dturbo was always a blast.

The clio suffers from the same problem but to a lesser extent as the Grale, it is hard to really extract the fun from the car legally. I mean four seconds off a roundabout and Im doing *15 makes me worry for my licence.

Ive had a few mad cars

Rennie 5 cosworth!, Evo 7, 400bhp 3dr cossie, M3, Scooby.

and honestly i can say that i have as much fun in my clio than any of the above. the only thing that im tempted to change it for is a new M3 but not yet.

Just like ukaskew, i find myself driving for the sheer fun of it and to tend go nowhere in particular, i just cant stay in. I have just come back from a good blast and i am grinning like a cheshire cat:D

  Scruffy blue 182

I think the 182 just gets it, CTR second and that 80s favourite my XR2 in third place. I actually find the 182 and XR2 similar from a driving point of view, but that the 182 is twice as quick!

  LY 200

Love driving my valver, sometime i just take it out of the garage and take it for a blag just for the fun of it!!!:D
