whats that mate, 146? Good going!
yeah 145/146 indicated, never had the gps on to see what it was doing

good effort, is it easy to get there or does it get to a point for instance 145 and then it very slowly creeps up ?

pulls to high 130's with ease then creeps up, however that was just a quick blast so didnt take much to get it there!

What happened the first time?
Good effort!!!
it threw a piston last time and destroyed the engine, manufacturing defect from when it was built they recon

they shouldnt blow up at this speed so always knew the first engine was a dud!

when im going for it up untill 5th i rev it to 4k just as thats where it makes peak power. 5-6th normaly keep it between 2-3k... love the pull in 6th just sit there and go from 55-90 with no effort... il miss that in a petrol..

i found although it made peak power higher up, because it made peak torque just after 2000rpm it wasnt actually much quicker when doing 4k changes than it was just using the torque to shift you along, just used more fuel and made more noise haha! (granted it was quicker though, if i was really going for it having a blast id do 4k changes)

my mapped 100 used to need 4500 to keep it really shifting! strange considering its pretty much the same engine!

id imagine your mapped one flys! my standard one was pretty quick, rarely ever took it past 3000rpm too!!

Yeah it really shifts now considering the weight and engine size, my brother pulled away from an RS gordini twingo at the lights and continued to make ground on it in his GT and that is pretty much identical to mine,

The 4th gear pull is my favourite part 30 - 80 effortlessly, brilliant for slip roads

I've only got one niggle with it and that is the brakes they fade easily, evidently designed for the 1.2 which they would be fine for but the GT is a fair bit quicker

unbeleivably its the same front setup that was used on the williams back in the day, just shows how much the cars have grew in weight!! as i agree they are under braked, dont know why renault didnt fit the 280mm front setup from the 172/182. The Twingo RS has that setup! I was planning on putting 200 brembos on mine but just bought a 200 instead in the end lol wish i had now!

Oh right never knew that, I suppose they will cut corners were they can, I thought about this not too long ago would the rotors and calipers fit under the standard wheels and would also it mean that It would convert it to 5 stud

not sure what the best way to do it would be on a mk3 as im not that clued up on whats all interchangeable (on a mk2 non RS id swap all the RS bits over and run widetrack but not sure what to do on these) or possibly just go custom brackets to fit the callipers and see if you can find a 4 stud disc that fits or go custom discs, pass on the wheel size not sure, both diameter and offset are tight as standard on a 200 with the standard wheels

stick a set of brembo HC discs on it, get them nice and cheaply from the guy on here that sells them, then if you feel flush a set of DS2500 pads but they are pretty expensive!

Yeah I cooked my brakes in about 5 mins of hard diving. Useless brakes! Can't seem to find ds2500s for mine anywhere though :/
