It wont start!

My 172 did this a few days back and mysteriously cured itself after an hour.

The immobiliser light comes on solid, goes off, yet the car just wont start - it turns over nice and strong but wont fire.

So far ive swapped:

Coil pack, leads, crank sensor.

The fuel rail seems to be full of fuel, as taking off the return pipe at the left of the rail, produces a fair old bit of petrol.

After the car fixed itself previously, it drove without fault.

I'm stuck. Help.

Had the RAC man out yesterday.

He determined that the ecu was detecting no rpm at all when turning over, hence not firing.

However ive tried 2 seperate brand new crank sensors and still nothing.

Any ideas?
