Itchy Arse = Burst Rear Damper!!!

So, a very playful rear-end over the past week or so.

First Signs:
1) ESP ON: During hard cornering, brakes are applied automatically to the front outside wheel - quite hard too!

2) ESP OFF: Holy sh*t, that was twitchy.

Wheel off, have a look: An obviously leaking damper.


Q1: Will renault change both of them, or only the one that's obviously leaking?

They're both definately shot - only one is visibly so, however.

Q2: Are there any fixed rate "OEM" replacements, by Koni/Spax which might last a bit longer than the standard items?

should always replace dampers in pairs iirc.

What mileage are you at Oms?

Mine lasted until 58k...and that was after serious abuse. I didn't even bother putting it into the hands of the Renault Monkey team...I let Rentech Mike fit a new pair...was £42 a corner and about 20 mins IIRC.
