ITG Panel filter on 1.2?

Basically i'm not expecting any performance gains atall, just looking for a nice induction sound as the 1.2 engine sounds horrible/ Would a panel filter give me this? Don't see the point in spending £100+ on an induction kit when a panel filter could do the job. Been having a read through some old threads, but can't find anyhting related to the 1.2

Don't suppose anyone has one / has had one on a 1.2? Don't want to fork out £55 if it's going to sound the same. Cheers

Ahh i was hoping nobody would say that lol. Could you reccomend any? Been looking at those cheap and chearfull K&N 57i's but i want to be able to use the CAF.

the K&N's are prob the better ones on the market tbh, steer clear of all the tat on ebay unless its mainstream branded. You can still use the caf just direct it to the induction kit...
