itunes not working anymore since latest update (mbp)

Downloaded maybe a few weeks ago the latest updates for itunes and update to OSX. All seemed dandy. I don't use itunes that much but last week I opened it and it basically just had the itunes icon bouncing up and down, it then froze the macbook for circa 5 minutes before coming up with an error saying it coudn't open...

Hmm... anyone had this?

No but my iphone 4 has frozen today on the home screen.. cant switch it off or anything and it wont connect to itunes either. What do/can i do? Just make an appointment with apple? Im new to this apple stuff..tried everything i can think of.

Itunes says cant connect because of an unknown error (0xE8000065)

my itunes stop working too so i had to reload all my 200g worth of music back on to it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't say I've had a similar problem, and I have used iTunes since the latest update. Just opened up as normal TBH.

Yeah thought I'd try a fresh install...
